Dimebag Darrel Guitar Rig

Dimebag Darrell of Pantera

Dimebag Darrell Dean Guitar

One of my personal favorites and biggest influences, Dimebag Darrell.  Dime was the guitar player from Pantera and Damageplan.   It’s been noted that Kiss and Van Halen were some of Dimebag’s major influences growing up.

Influences-

You can hear a lot of blues influenced riffs in most of his solos as well, a lot of early Eddie Van Halen type riffs too.  Check out the video below of Dimebag Darrel when he was just 18 years shredding.  RIP Dimebag, losing Dimebag Darrell was an incredible loss and trajedy to the entire guitar community!

Dime’s Dean From Hell/CFH

This is a reproduction of Dime’s own Dean From Hell, as it appeared on the album cover of Cowboys From Hell. The mahogany body and neck are covered in the familiar blue finish, with the legendary lightning bolts on the top. A Bill Lawrence L500XL pickup in the bridge position and Dean humbucker at the neck take you from screeching metal lead tones to crunchy rhythm sounds with a flick of the 3-way toggle. Pluck a harmonic and use the licensed Floyd Rose tremolo to take it to the outer limits. The ultrafast neck is topped with a rosewood fretboard for high-speed shredding galore. Dimebag traction knobs ensure you’ll be able to adjust them no matter how much sweat is pouring. Includes a Dean custom hardshell case.

Dean from Hell – Main guitar up to and including the album Far Beyond Driven. Can be seen: Cowboys From Hell, Cemetery Gates, Walk, 5 Minutes Alone, Domination. Equipped with a Bill Lawrence L500XL Bridge Pickup. This guitar was won by Darrell in a guitar competition and sold to Buddy Blaze so Dime could pay for a new car. Blaze did the lightning bolt graphic and paint job. Dime begged for the guitar back but Blaze would not sell it. Eventually Blaze returned the guitar to Dime and the rest is history.
